Dragon age origins: stupid ogre.?

Are you talking about the ogre in the castle right before the battle against the darkspawn? If you are then I really suggest turning down your difficulty. He's hard to kill even on normal, since it's so close to the beginning and you don't really have much good gear or anything yet. So go to options and switch your difficulty to casual, and give it another go. If you're already on casual then I have no idea what's happening to your game. Try to bring it back to wherever you got it from and tell them the problem and see if they will give you a new disk. Or you can see if they will swap it out for a product of the same price, if you really hate the game that much.
